HA TINH APPROVES INVESTMENT PLAN TO UPGRADE CAU TREO INTERNATIONAL BORDER GATE INFRASTRUCTURE

Ha Tinh Province has approved an investment plan to upgrade the Cau Treo border gate infrastructure on the Vietnam-Laos border.

 Incident Update:

On July 16, 2026, the People’s Committee of Ha Tinh Province approved the investment plan for the project to upgrade and renovate the Cau Treo International Border Gate Complex, combined with the National Gate and surrounding technical infrastructure, under Decision No. 1811/QD-UBND. The project is expected to have a total investment of nearly VND 155 billion and will be implemented during the 2026–2028 period.

The infrastructure upgrade is expected to create a more modern and efficient border gate area along the Vietnam–Laos border. It will also help promote trade activities and strengthen the role of the Cau Treo – Vung Ang economic corridor as an important regional connection point. In addition, improved infrastructure will support competent authorities in their operations, contribute to administrative procedure reform, and enhance the management of immigration, import-export activities, and cargo flow through Cau Treo International Border Gate.

This marks an important step in completing essential border infrastructure, opening up new opportunities for trade, logistics services, and cross-border commerce in Ha Tinh Province in the coming years.
