1. What is Transit Cargo?

Transit cargo refers to goods transported through the territory of an intermediate country before continuing to their final destination country. The goods are not imported for domestic consumption in the transit country. During customs transit, the cargo remains under customs supervision and must comply with applicable requirements regarding the approved route, border gates, transit period, means of transport, and customs procedures.

A shipment is transported along the following route:
